Zonta Canberra Breakfast Club and the Rotary Club of Canberra Burley Griffin
10
DECEMBER 2018
There have been 63 unnecessary deaths of women due to domestic violence this year in Australia!
On 10 December 2018 the Zonta Canberra Breakfast Club and the Rotary Club of Canberra Burley Griffin will combine to remember each of those women killed this year. The Canberra Rotary Peace Bell in Lennox Gardens will be struck 63 times – once for each victim.
The 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights also happens to be on 10 December 2018.
Both the Zonta Canberra Breakfast Club and Rotary Clubs say NO to violence against women as part of the current 16 days of activism.
Zonta Canberra Breakfast Club and the Rotary Club of Canberra Burley Griffin invite all Canberra people interested to join with them at the Canberra Rotary Peace Bell Lennox Gardens from 6pm on 10 December for this special ringing event to send the loudest message possible against domestic violence in our city – our country – and in the world.
