In partnership with the World Peace Association, the Rotary Club of Canberra Burley Griffin undertook an ambitious project of building a Peace Bell Pavilion within the Canberra Nara Peace Park precinct on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. The Canberra Rotary Peace Bell has been built!
Officially launched on 23 February 2018 the bell will provide a destination in Nara Park to remind us that we want a peaceful World.
The bell’s pavilion was designed by Lauren and Fred Kasparek. Lauren is an architectural student at the University of Canberra while her father Fred Kasparek has been a practicing architect for over 28 years in Canberra.
We still need to support to operate the many Rotary charity projects including the Rotary Foundation, Rotary Peace Scholarships, Shelter Box Australia and support for Domestic Violence Issues.
Rotary has Peace in the World as one of its core values.
